Ep 3. Battle at Carne Village

The anime series Overlord follows the story of a powerful wizard named Momonga who is stuck in a fantasy MMORPG game world called Yggdrasil after it is shut down. The Chief agrees, hoping that this offering will be enough to stop Overlord’s invasion without harming the people of Carne Village.

However, Overlord has no intention of sparing the village. Despite the offering from the village, Overlord leads his undead army to attack Carne Village with full force. Their goal is to take control of the village and use it as their base of operations for further conquests.

In the village, the battle begins with the magic of the undead army against the magic of the villager defenders. Initially, the villagers were able to hold back the undead army, but they quickly become overwhelmed as the battle continues. The destruction is swift and brutal with the undead army dominating the battle.

Despite their fight, a few members from the village, including a goblin named Enri, who has her own goblin troops and Chief's aide Nphirea, manage to survive. They witness the chaotic battle and are inspired to fight back and save their home. Enri and Nphirea lead the surviving villagers into a plan to counter-attack against the undead army.

The villagers execute their plan and manage to inflict some damage on the undead army, forcing them to retreat momentarily. However, the undead army is vast and the villagers are vastly outnumbered, and soon the undead army overpowers them. As a last resort, Enri calls for any ally that they could find who might help them against the beastly army.

As the battle intensifies and the villagers prepare to face their doom, they receive some much-needed help from an unexpected ally that turns the tide of the battle. However, even with this ally and all the effort put in by the villagers, the outcome of the battle is uncertain.

The Battle at Carne Village is a crucial moment in the series, as it demonstrates the brutality and intensity of the new world that the protagonists inhabit.
