Series 3, Episode 5 of Outnumbered follows the chaotic yet endearing lives of the Brockman family. In this particular episode, the family's youngest member, Karen, becomes convinced that her elderly neighbour, Mrs. Oldbourn, is actually a witch. Despite her family's attempts to convince her otherwise, Karen begins a campaign to both expose and defeat the supposed witch.
Meanwhile, the middle child, Ben, is busy planning for his upcoming school camping trip. In typical Ben fashion, he takes a highly scientific approach to packing his bag, filling it with items like a compass, a whistle, and a small mirror. His mother, Sue, attempts to convince him to bring along some more practical items, like a toothbrush and spare socks, but Ben remains skeptical.
The eldest child, Jake, is dealing with his own set of problems. His girlfriend, Stacey, invites him to a party, but Jake is unsure of whether or not to attend. He seeks advice from his father, Pete, who suggests that Stacey may be trying to move their relationship forward. Jake is hesitant, but ultimately decides to go to the party.
Throughout the episode, the family deals with various mishaps, including Karen's attempted exorcism of Mrs. Oldbourn and Ben's disastrous attempt to assemble his tent.
