One day, she visits her old friend Joe Abernathy (Wil Johnson), who happens to be a historian and helps her find out what happened to Jamie after he sent her back through the stones.
As it turns out, Jamie is still alive and now running a print shop in Edinburgh under the name A. Malcolm. Claire, overjoyed to hear this, decides to travel back in time to reunite with him. After a tense journey through the stones, she finally arrives in Edinburgh, and the stage is set for their magical reunion.
The chemistry between Jamie and Claire is as electrifying as ever, and it's clear that they still have a deep connection that transcends time and space. But it's not all easy; they have a lot of catching up to do, and there's still the matter of disclosing everything that's happened to them since they were last together.
The episode does an excellent job of depicting the nuances of the couple's reunion, and the dialogue between Jamie and Claire is sharp and witty. Meanwhile, Fergus (Cesar Domboy) has grown into a man and is now an integral part of Jamie's print shop.
The cinematography in this episode is breathtaking, and the rich colors of the Scottish landscape jump off the screen. From the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh to the rolling hills of the Scottish highlands, the locations are stunning and transport the viewer into another time and place.
