The crush is the third episode of the ninth season of the reality TV show Operation Repo. The episode follows the repo team on their usual high-stakes missions, this time with a new twist. Matt, the company's newest member, sets his sights on impressing the boss, Sonia, by taking on a job outside his comfort zone.
The episode opens with the repo team discussing their schedule for the day. They receive a call from a distressed client who is behind on payments for his luxurious sports car. The team heads out to the client's location in Los Angeles, California, to retrieve the car.
The client, a wealthy businessman, comes out of his office building to see his car being hooked up to the repo truck. He becomes angry and aggressive, claiming that he is current on his payments and that the team has no right to take his car. The repo team informs him that they have orders to repossess the vehicle and that he needs to speak with his financing company.
As the team prepares to tow the car away, the businessman becomes more aggressive, and Matt attempts to diffuse the situation by soothing the client's ego and calming him down. Meanwhile, the rest of the team looks on, skeptical of Matt's approach. Despite their doubts, the repo mission is successful, and the team heads back to their office to drop off the car.
However, things take a sudden turn when the boss, Sonia, gets a surprise visit from an old high school crush, Craig. The two reconnect, and Craig reveals that he is now a successful businessman looking to expand his company into the repo industry. Sonia offers him a job as a partner in the company, causing tensions to rise amongst the current team members.
As the team continues their work, Matt begins to feel threatened by Craig's arrival and feels like his job is at stake. The team takes their next job, repossessing a truck from a construction site. The mission turns sour when the truck's owner comes out with a shotgun, threatening the team and demanding they leave the premises.
The team retreats to safety, but Matt decides to take matters into his own hands and confronts the owner. This leads to a dangerous standoff between the two, with Matt's life in grave danger. The team manages to save Matt and complete the mission safely.
Back at the office, tensions are at an all-time high as the team prepares to confront the boss about her decision to bring in a new partner. The team voices their concerns, with Matt being the most vocal, but Sonia reassures them that they will all have their roles within the company.
In the end, the repo team successfully completes their missions, with Matt learning valuable lessons about teamwork and loyalty. The episode comes to a close with a promising future for the team as they welcome their new partner, Craig, and look forward to what's to come in the repo industry.
