Del Boy is still pining over Raquel and trying to win her back. He decides to take the initiative and asks her not only to dinner at a posh restaurant but also to go away with him on a cruise. Raquel initially declines both offers, claiming that she is busy with work and cannot get time off. Del Boy, however, is not deterred, and he comes up with a plan to get Raquel to change her mind.
Meanwhile, Grandad has a new romantic interest of his own in the form of a widow named Elsie Partridge. They are both very keen on each other, and Grandad is filled with glee at the prospect of going for a walk in the park with her. However, Del Boy is less than impressed, and he sees Elsie as a threat to his own plans with Raquel.
Through a series of events, Del Boy and Grandad both end up at the same restaurant as Raquel and Elsie. Del Boy seizes the opportunity to try and win Raquel back once again, but his attempts are thwarted by Elsie, who seems to have a knack for getting in the way. The evening ends with a showdown between Del Boy and Elsie, with Grandad helplessly caught in the middle.
Back at the flat, Rodney is having problems of his own. He is feeling left out and overlooked by everyone, especially Del Boy, who is completely preoccupied with Raquel. Rodney is also struggling with the idea that he is getting older and that his life is not going anywhere. A visit from the Dodgy Phil doesn't help matters, as he taunts Rodney with the idea that he will never be successful.
In the end, Del Boy's desperate attempts to win back Raquel fall flat, and he is left alone and despondent. However, there is a silver lining for Rodney, as he is inspired by a conversation with Trigger to pursue his dreams and take a risk in life.
