In One Piece season 2 episode 59, titled "Luffy, Completely Surrounded! Commodore Nelson's Secret Strategy!", the Straw Hat crew finds themselves in a tough situation. As they sail towards Alabasta, they encounter Commodore Nelson of the Marines, who threatens to sink their ship if they don't surrender. Luffy, being his usual self, refuses to back down and decides to take on the Commodore and his elite squad of soldiers.
As the battle starts, Luffy uses his Gum-Gum attacks to take down the soldiers one by one. However, he soon realizes that he is completely surrounded and outnumbered. The soldiers start closing in on him, and it seems like there's no way out. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is forced to watch helplessly from the sidelines, unable to join the fight.
Just when things seem dire, Commodore Nelson reveals his secret strategy. He has placed a large metal ball underneath the Going Merry, which makes it impossible for the crew to escape. The ship is essentially stuck in one place, leaving Luffy and the others vulnerable to the attacks of the Marines.
Luffy, however, is not one to give up easily. He continues to fight back with all his might, even as the Marines close in on him. He uses his Gear Second technique to boost his speed and strength, but it seems like he's still no match for the Commodore's elite soldiers.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew comes up with a plan to distract the Marines and buy Luffy some time. Usopp sneaks into their ship and starts causing chaos, while Nami uses her weather abilities to create a distraction. Chopper, on the other hand, tries to heal Luffy's wounds so that he can continue fighting.
As the chaos continues, Luffy utilizes his Gear Third technique to unleash a devastating attack on the Marines. He manages to take down several soldiers at once, but it's not enough to turn the tide of the battle. The Commodore himself steps in and attacks Luffy with all his might.
The two engage in a fierce battle, with Luffy refusing to give up even as he gets battered and bruised. In the end, however, he manages to turn the situation around with a clever trick. He uses his Gum-Gum Rocket technique to launch himself into the air and onto the Marines' ship, where he defeats Commodore Nelson once and for all.
With the Commodore defeated and the Marines in disarray, the Straw Hat crew is able to escape and continue their journey to Alabasta. Although they have won the battle, they know that there are many more challenges waiting for them in the future. But for now, they're content with the knowledge that they can overcome any obstacle as long as they stick together.
