Omega is a science fiction web series produced by Machinima in 2013, set in a post-apocalyptic world where the government is a corporate entity and sets all the rules. The story follows a man named Alexander who has lost his memory and is being hunted by both the government and some unknown force for reasons unbeknownst to him. The only way Alexander can hope to uncover the truth is by working with a group of rogue hackers who have access to sensitive information about the government's operations.

The show takes place in a future where the world has gone dark, and the major cities have crumbled due to an unknown disaster. Society has been rebuilt under the control of the Omega Corporation, which operates under a totalitarian regime that brooks no dissent. Through their control of information and technology, the Omega Corporation has become powerful enough to control the world, and all the people who live in it.

The show starts with Alexander being chased by the Omega Corporation, with no idea why he is being targeted. He ends up in the underground hacker community, which is run by a woman named Kaida, who leads a group of rebels determined to topple the Omega Corporation. Alexander must navigate this strange new world, in which information is power, and the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined.

As the series progresses, Alexander and Kaida become unlikely allies, working together in an effort to uncover the truth about their world and the forces that are at work within it. For Kaida, the ultimate goal is the overthrow of the Omega Corporation, but for Alexander, it is about discovering the truth about his own past and why he was targeted.

The series is full of action-packed scenes that are thrilling to watch. There are also a number of plot twists and turns that keep the audience on the edge of their seat, wondering what will happen next. The writing is smart and engaging, and the characters are well-developed, with unique and compelling motivations. They are not just stock characters but real people with real fears, motivations, and desires.

One of the most fascinating elements of the show is the exploration of the use of technology in controlling people. The Omega Corporation has developed a vast network of surveillance and control technologies that it uses to monitor and control the movements of the populace. It is a chilling reminder of the dangers of relying too heavily on technology and allowing a small group of people to control access to it.

The production values of the show are impressive. The special effects and the set design are both very well done, and the overall look and feel of the show are very slick and polished. The show's creators do an excellent job of creating a believable science-fiction world that draws in the audience and keeps them captivated from start to finish.

Although the show only consists of one season and is not well known, it is an exciting and well-produced production with a great story that is hopefully given more attention in the future. The concept of a world controlled by a corporation is not new, but it is executed well enough in Omega to make it worth the watch. The show is a must-watch for fans of science fiction and is an excellent example of what can be accomplished with a small budget.
