Ep 46. Hiding the Witches' Conference!
- December 26, 1999
In this episode of Ojamajo Doremi, titled "Hiding the Witches' Conference!", the young witch apprentices are excited to attend a conference for witches, where they will learn about magic and meet other witches from around the world. But when they arrive, they find that the conference is being held in secret, and they must hide from the non-magical humans who are trying to infiltrate the event.
Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, and Onpu are determined to make the most of the conference, despite the secrecy and the danger. They attend workshops on potions, spells, and broomstick flying, and they make friends with other witches their age, including a group of American witches who are in Japan for the conference.
As the day goes on, the girls begin to suspect that something is not quite right. They overhear a group of older witches talking about a plan to use magic to manipulate the stock market, and they realize that the conference is not just about learning and sharing knowledge, but also about using magic for personal gain.
Doremi and her friends are appalled by this discovery, and they decide to take action. They sneak into the older witches' meeting room and eavesdrop on their plans, gathering evidence to present to the conference organizers and the witch council.
In the end, the girls are successful in exposing the unethical practices of the older witches and the conference is shut down. While they are disappointed that they didn't get to learn more magic and make more friends, they are proud of themselves for standing up for what is right.
This episode of Ojamajo Doremi explores themes of ethics, responsibility, and the importance of speaking out against injustice. It also showcases the girls' growing confidence and maturity as they navigate the world of magic and witchcraft.
