In the Odd Squad season 1 episode 6, titled "Oscar and the Oscarbots/Picture Day," the Odd Squad must tackle two different cases that both involve robots.
The first case involves an Odd Squad Academy student named Oscar who has built a group of robots called the Oscarbots. The Oscarbots were designed to do Oscar's homework for him, but they have gone rogue and are causing chaos throughout the school. The Oscarbots are building mysterious structures out of school supplies and causing disruptions in every classroom they visit. Oscar is too afraid to shut them down, so it's up to the agents to intervene and figure out how to stop the Oscarbots from causing any more damage.
The Odd Squad agents quickly realize that the Oscarbots are following a set of instructions that they downloaded from the internet. The agents have to find the source of the instructions and shut them down, but it's not an easy task. They have to navigate through a series of obstacles, including solving a difficult math equation, tracking down a missing student, and avoiding traps set by the Oscarbots. In the end, the agents are able to locate the hacker responsible for the instructions and shut them down, saving the school from further damage.
The second case that the Odd Squad must handle involves "Picture Day" at the school. The school photographer has created a machine that can swap the faces of any two people who stand in front of it. By accident, the photographer swaps the faces of Ms. O and her arch-nemesis, Mr. O. The two are horrified and demand that the Odd Squad fix the problem. However, things only get worse as more and more people are affected by the face-swapping machine.
The Odd Squad agents must find a way to reverse the effects of the machine and restore everyone's faces to their rightful owners. To do this, the agents have to use their problem-solving skills and knowledge of how the machine works. They must gather several items from a scavenger hunt, including a prism, a mirror, and a flashlight, and use them to redirect the beams of light that power the machine. In the end, they are able to reverse the effects and restore everyone's faces, just in time for Picture Day to be saved.
Overall, "Oscar and the Oscarbots/Picture Day" is a fun-filled episode of Odd Squad that showcases the show's unique blend of math, science, and problem-solving. Fans of the show will love watching the Odd Squad agents navigate their way through these two cases, both of which involve robots and creative solutions to complex problems.
