Obi-Wan Kenobi is an upcoming television series on Disney+ starring Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role as the titular character, as well as Hayden Christensen, who will play the iconic villainous character, Darth Vader. The show begins 10 years after the events of the "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" movie, where the Jedi Order was decimated and Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Obi-Wan has entrusted a young Luke Skywalker to live with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru on the desert planet of Tatooine, while he settles into hiding and watches over the young boy from afar.

As the series unfolds, viewers will witness the turmoil and possible redemption of Darth Vader, as he crosses paths once again with his former Jedi Master, Obi-Wan. They both must navigate a new era of the force, where Darth Sidious, the Emperor and the last remaining Sith lord, has seized complete control of the galaxy.

Alongside Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, the show features a talented ensemble cast including Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, Vivien Lyra Blair, Jimmy Smits, Flea, and Rya Kihlstedt.

Moses Ingram will play the role of the lead character's Padawan learner, Ahsoka Tano. Her inclusion in the series marks the first time the fan-favorite character, first introduced in the animated "Clone Wars" TV series, will be portrayed in live-action.

Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will also return to reprise their roles as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, respectively, Luke Skywalker's adoptive parents. Meanwhile, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, and Rupert Friend are set to play new characters in the Star Wars universe.

Kang will take on the role of an enigmatic character named Fennec Shand, who was first introduced in "The Mandalorian" TV series. Benny Safdie portrays a scoundrel named Talon, while Vivien Lyra Blair will portray a young girl named Lucy.

The show has been developed by writer-producer Joby Harold, who also serves as an executive producer for the series, alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, and Ewan McGregor himself, who also serves as a producer.

Directed by House of Gucci's Deborah Chow, the show promises to take fans on a thrilling adventure through the depths of the Star Wars universe. Filming began in April 2021 in Los Angeles, with the series set to release on Disney+ in 2022.

Fans of the Star Wars franchise have eagerly awaited the arrival of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which promises to explore the character's struggles and triumphs in a way never before showcased in the Star Wars universe.

Overall, Obi-Wan Kenobi is sure to be a highly-anticipated and highly-entertaining addition to the Star Wars franchise, bringing together an all-star cast in a thrilling and emotional journey through a galaxy far, far away.
