Ep 17. Optimised Like Ondai

After narrowly escaping a dangerous trap at the end of the last episode, the team finds itself on the doorstep of the beautiful planet of Ondai. Upon landing, they quickly discover that the natives are very technologically advanced and have created a fleet of star racers that appear to be almost unbeatable.

As Molly and Jordan scope out the competition, they come across an enigmatic racer named Ōzora, who seems friendly enough but isn't keen on sharing any details about himself or his racer. They do, however, notice that his racer is outfitted with the latest and greatest technology available, and it's clear that he's a force to be reckoned with.

While exploring the city, the team finds themselves on a tour of the local power plant, where they discover that the Ondai have a unique source of energy that's incredibly efficient. However, they also notice that the power plant is heavily guarded and that there are several rooms that are off-limits to visitors.

Suspicious of the Ondai's intentions, the team decides to investigate further, and they soon uncover a sinister plan: the power plant is actually a cover for a deep-space weapon that the Ondai plan to use to conquer other galaxies. In order to stop the weapon, the team must infiltrate the plant and disable it from the inside -- before it's too late.

Meanwhile, Molly and Jordan continue to race against Ōzora and the other Ondai racers, each time getting a bit closer to victory. However, Molly starts to feel uneasy about the constant upgrades and modifications to her racer, wondering if there's a limit to how much she should be pushing herself and her machine.

As the race heats up, the team races against the clock to stop the weapon before it's activated, all while trying to stay ahead of the other racers. It's a tense and exciting episode that showcases both the team's resourcefulness in the face of adversity and their determination to do what's right -- even if it means risking everything.
