Charlie, Megan, and Colby are assigned to investigate the suspicious circumstances of the apparent suicide of a college student in a small town. The local authorities believe that the student took his own life, but the student's mother is convinced that her son would never commit suicide. As the team delves deeper into the investigation, they uncover a town with many secrets and a web of lies that may have played a role in the student's death.
Meanwhile, Don and his team investigate a group of seven high school football players who are accused of assaulting a female classmate. The victim claims that they drugged her and took advantage of her, but the defendants maintain their innocence. As they gather evidence, the team discovers that there may be more to the story than meets the eye, including a possible romantic relationship between the victim and one of the defendants.
As both investigations unfold, the team must navigate complex ethical dilemmas and confront their own biases and preconceptions. With time running out, they will have to rely on their training, instincts, and each other to uncover the truth and bring justice to those who have been wronged.
