Ep 4. Wish

Yato and Yukine continue their journey as the latter adjust his behavior to his new role of being Yato's regalia. Hiyori, on the other hand, struggles to balance her mundane life as a high school student and her life as someone who can see and interact with the supernatural. In "Noragami" season 2 episode 4 entitled "Wish," the story follows Hiyori as she tries to find answers to her predicament.

The episode starts with Hiyori waiting in front of a shrine for Yato, hoping to get a hold of him. At the same time, Yato and Yukine are on jobs to earn money, as Yato's ultimate goal is to have his own shrine. Meanwhile, Hiyori bumps into a girl, who is looking for a rare object known as the "silver ring" believed to have the power to grant any wish. Despite Hiyori's skepticism, the girl insists and shows her a picture of the ring. Unknowingly, Hiyori carries a replica of the ring as her keychain, which the girl notices and accuses her of stealing it.

While Hiyori is confined in a cell, her secret is revealed, and the guards find out that she can interact with spirits, causing them to label her as a spy. In retaliation, Hiyori uses her skills to help them escape from the prison and escape on their own. The group manages to avoid the guards and find a place to hide but is startled by a massive spirit attacking them. The group quickly realizes that the only way to defeat the spirit is through the use of the silver ring.

While searching for the ring, Hiyori accidentally gets separated from the group, but with the help of her cat spirit, she discovers that the ring is a fake. In a tight situation, Hiyori calls Yato for help and asks him to come and take care of the spirit. Meanwhile, Yato, who is in the middle of a job, agrees to help Hiyori but asks for her to find a way to pay for his services.

Eventually, the group manages to find the original silver ring and successfully defeat the spirit. As Hiyori and the girl return to the shrine, Yato and Yukine arrive, expecting to be paid. However, they are surprised to see the girl wearing the silver ring, revealing that her wish was to find her lost childhood friend. In response, Yato offers to help her find her friend, but she declines and leaves the shrine.

As the episode comes to an end, Hiyori returns home and realizes that there is no trace of her cat spirit and feels sad about it. Still, she knows that she must keep moving forward and expects that Yato and Yukine will be there for her whenever she needs them.

Overall, "Noragami" season 2 episode 4 entitled "Wish" is a great episode that showcases Hiyori's development as a character and her resolve to balance her life as a high school student and as someone who interacts with the supernatural. The episode also introduces new characters, expands the world-building, and sets the stage for new adventures to come.
