In the first episode of Nobunaga the Fool, titled "The Star," we are introduced to a world where two planets, the West and the East, have long been at war with each other. The West, a highly advanced and technologically advanced world, has long been dominating the East, a more traditional and spiritually focused society. As a result, the East has been forced to submit to the West and pay tribute to their rulers.
Our main protagonist, a young woman named Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, is the princess of the East and has grown up under the watchful eye of the West's ruling council. She is a powerful and spiritual person, and her people look up to her as a symbol of hope. However, despite her efforts, the East's situation seems hopeless and Jeanne is beginning to feel disillusioned.
Meanwhile, in the West, a young man named Oda Nobunaga has been prophesied to be the "Fool" who will change the fate of both planets. Nobunaga is a brash and somewhat reckless person, and while many people don't take him seriously, he has a way of garnering the respect and admiration of those around him. Despite the fact that he is from a powerful and influential family, Nobunaga is a rebel at heart and refuses to conform to society's expectations of him.
As fate would have it, Jeanne and Nobunaga's paths cross when a portal between the two planets suddenly opens up and they find themselves transported to a mysterious world known as the "Star of the East." Here, they must work together to uncover the secrets of this strange world and find a way back home.
The first episode of Nobunaga the Fool sets up a compelling story with interesting characters and an intriguing setting. The animation is top-notch, with vividly rendered environments and fluid action sequences. The music is also a standout, with a sweeping orchestral score that perfectly captures the epic scope of the story.
Overall, "The Star" is a promising start to what looks to be an exciting and engaging series. With its blend of science fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy elements, Nobunaga the Fool is a must-watch for fans of any of these genres.
