In Night Court season 1 episode 7, titled Train Court, the usual antics and chaos of the Manhattan Municipal Night Court continue as Judge Harold T. Stone presides over a particularly unusual case.
The episode kicks off with the arrival of a train conductor, who has brought with him a slew of passengers who were caught with drugs on his train. The conductor insists that he had no knowledge of the drugs being on board, and that the passengers in question must have snuck them on without his knowledge.
As Stone grapples with how to handle such a large and complicated case, the rest of the court staff is dealing with their own issues. Bailiff Bull Shannon is feeling insecure about his role in the courtroom and turns to his trusty weightlifting regimen to boost his confidence. Meanwhile, public defender Liz Williams is struggling to juggle her case load and her personal life, as she tries (and fails) to find a reliable babysitter for her daughter.
As the case unfolds, Stone finds himself questioning the conductor's innocence and grappling with the ethical implications of punishing someone for a crime they may not have known was being committed. With the stakes higher than ever before, Stone and his team work tirelessly to uncover the truth and ensure that justice is served.
Filled with witty banter, absurd scenarios, and heartwarming moments, Train Court is a classic Night Court episode that showcases all of the best elements of the beloved 80s sitcom.
