Ep 2. Review

In NewsRadio season 3 episode 2, titled "Review," tensions are running high at the WNYX radio station as they await a review from a notoriously critical newspaper columnist, Rick Sherwood. The team is on edge, knowing that their jobs are on the line if Sherwood doesn't like what he sees.

The episode opens with Beth (Vicki Lewis) and Lisa (Maura Tierney) frantically trying to put together a last-minute segment for the review that they hope will impress Sherwood. Meanwhile, Dave (Dave Foley) is preoccupied with trying to get a quote from Sherwood's editor, who he hopes can give him some insight into what Sherwood might be looking for.

As the team scrambles to put together their best work, tensions begin to rise among the staff. Joe (Joe Rogan) and Matthew (Andy Dick) get into a heated argument over who should be the face of the station, with each of them vying for the attention of Sherwood.

As the review finally comes out, the team waits nervously for the verdict. But when they finally see it, they are shocked to find that Sherwood has given them a glowing review. The staff is overjoyed and relieved, but their celebration is cut short when they realize that Sherwood has made a mistake and actually meant to review a different radio station.

Faced with the prospect of losing their jobs after all, the team pulls together to try and convince Sherwood to give them another chance. In the end, they are successful and Sherwood agrees to come back and give them a real review.

Overall, "Review" is a fast-paced and funny episode that showcases the strengths of the NewsRadio ensemble cast. The episode does a great job of balancing the high stakes of the review with the lighthearted rivalries and tensions among the staff. Despite the absurdity of the situation, the characters feel real and relatable, and the episode manages to mine plenty of humor out of their interactions and reactions. With its tight writing, strong performances, and sharp humor, "Review" is a standout episode of NewsRadio's third season.
