Ep 11. The Trainer

Dave Nelson, the station's news director, gets into a fitness contest with Bill McNeal, the station's blowhard and egomaniacal anchor. In the process of losing weight, Dave becomes addicted to exercise and takes it to an unhealthy level. Meanwhile, Lisa Miller, the station's reporter and Dave's crush, attempts to win the contest by using a different approach. Joe Garelli, the electrician, tries to get help with his back problems from Matthew Brock, the station's lovable but dim-witted handyman. Beth, the station's secretary, reveals a secret talent for gymnastics, which comes in handy when the staff has to perform a routine to entertain the contestants and audience. As the contest comes to a close, tensions rise and hilarity ensues.
