Newbie and The Disasternauts is a science-fiction animated television series that aired in 2010. The show was created by Spika Entertainment and co-produced by Janson Media. The show revolves around Newbie, an enthusiastic and energetic young scientist, who dreams of one day becoming an astronaut. Newbie is given the opportunity of a lifetime when he is chosen to lead a team of misfit space cadets on a mission to explore uncharted territories in space.

The Disasternauts, as the team is dubbed, are a rag-tag group of space cadets who are all academically gifted but lack the necessary social and physical skills to function as a unit. The team is made up of Gasp, a brilliant mathematician who suffers from a severe case of stage fright; Hasty, a talented engineer who is always in a hurry; and Puffy, a genius physicist who is allergic to just about everything.

Together, Newbie and The Disasternauts embark on a series of dangerous and exciting adventures in space. Throughout the series, the team encounters various challenges including space pirates, black holes, and alien invasions. Despite the odds being stacked against them, Newbie and The Disasternauts always manage to find a way to come out on top.
