Detectives J.C. Williams and Eddie Torres are hot on the trail of a violent drug dealer in New York City. When their informants lead them to the local boxing scene, they quickly realize that the dealer they're after has ties to the sport through his involvement with a talented young fighter named Joseph Palmer.

As they delve deeper into their investigation, J.C. and Eddie learn that Palmer's mother, Beverly, has been working tirelessly to keep her son on the right path and away from the dangerous world of drugs and crime. But when her efforts aren't enough to protect him from the dealer's influence, she turns to the detectives for help.

Meanwhile, J.C.'s girlfriend, Nina, is struggling with her own issues after being assaulted by a man in her building. Despite J.C.'s attempts to comfort her and the support of their colleagues, Nina's trauma threatens to tear the couple apart.

As J.C. and Eddie race to take down the drug dealer and save Joseph and Beverly from his grasp, they must also confront their own personal struggles and find a way to overcome them before they become too much to handle.
