Ep 4. Where The Road Goes

Jess and Nick have a heart to heart after a run-in with Jess's ex-boyfriend, Russell. Jess is feeling conflicted about her current relationship with Ryan and wonders if Russell is really the one that got away. Meanwhile, Schmidt and Cece decide to join Winston and Aly on a couples' road trip to a neighboring state. Along the way, they encounter several obstacles and learn more about each other's relationships. Back at the loft, Coach tries to teach Winston how to dance for his upcoming wedding, but the two friends quickly realize they have very different styles. As the group continues on their road trip, they are forced to confront their doubts and fears about their relationships and their future together.
