Jess and Cece spend their Friday night at the bar and quickly become bored with the typical bar scene. They decide to step outside their comfort zones and end up at a fundraiser art show where they find themselves in a competitive game of drinking called "True American" with the art owners and their friends.
Meanwhile, Schmidt and Winston plan on hosting a "hunt" for some of Schmidt's eggs, a delicate recipe that requires precise measurements and ingredients. However, things quickly go awry when Schmidt realizes his prized egg (which he has been saving for years) has gone missing. The two friends embark on a mission to find the egg and, in doing so, go on a wild goose chase throughout the loft.
As the night progresses, tensions rise at the art show as Jess and Cece's competitiveness begins to get the best of them. The game of True American takes a scandalous turn when Cece ends up kissing one of the art owners, leading to Jess feeling betrayed and abandoning her friend.
Back at the loft, Schmidt and Winston finally find the egg, but their victory is short-lived as they accidentally smash it moments after discovering it in its hiding place. The two dejectedly return to the bar where they console Jess and Cece, who are still at odds with each other.
In classic New Girl fashion, the episode ends with the group coming together to sing a ridiculous song, bringing a sense of unity and connection amidst their chaotic adventures. With its signature blend of humor, heart, and quirkiness, Eggs is a must-watch episode of the beloved series.
