In NCIS season 6 episode 2, entitled "False Flag," the team is investigating the death of a naval officer who was killed in a car accident. However, when Gibbs and his team arrive on the scene, they realize that this may not have been a simple accident after all. As they dig deeper into the case, they begin to uncover a sinister plot that involves rogue agents and a potential terrorist threat.
The team soon learns that the deceased officer, Lieutenant Commander Dan Galloway, was involved in a top-secret mission involving the tracking of weapons-grade plutonium. When they find evidence that the car accident was staged in order to cover up his murder, they begin to suspect that there may be others involved in the plot.
As the team delves deeper into the case, they discover that one of Galloway's colleagues, Agent David Flynn, may be involved in the plot to steal the plutonium.
