The opening scene of NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 6 shows a security guard being killed during a theft at a medical facility. The team is called in to investigate the robbery and death, which quickly reveals a bigger plot involving the theft of a new medical device.
The team, led by Special Agent G. Callen and Special Agent Sam Hanna, first talks to the security guard's partner and other witnesses to the theft. Meanwhile, Special Agent Eric Beale and Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones deepen their attraction for each other. The team's leader, Hetty Lange, also makes a surprise appearance at the end of the episode, adding to the already tense situation.
