Ep 20. Reentry

The NCIS Special Projects team, based in Los Angeles, California, is a highly-skilled and elite group of undercover agents tasked with protecting the nation's security. Led by Operations Manager Hetty Lange (played by Linda Hunt), the team includes field agents G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), tech expert Eric Beale (Barrett Foa), and intelligence analyst Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith).

In season 9 episode 20, titled "Reentry," the team is investigating a Navy contractor who has disappeared along with top secret surveillance technology. The contractor, Andrew Valdez (played by Carlos Sanz), is a former Marine who served five years in prison for embezzlement before turning to contracting work for the Navy.

The team discovers that Valdez was last seen leaving a bar with a suspicious woman, who they later identify as Russian intelligence officer Katya Chevron (played by Kamilla Alnes). They suspect that Chevron may be trying to acquire the surveillance technology for her own country's use.

Meanwhile, the team is also dealing with personal issues. Kensi is struggling with her recovery after being injured in a helicopter crash, while Sam is dealing with the emotional fallout from a recent case involving a young girl. In addition, Nell's boyfriend, intelligence analyst Eric, is still recovering from injuries sustained in a previous case.

As the investigation into Valdez and Chevron progresses, the team uncovers a web of lies and deception. They discover that Valdez was working with Chevron to steal the surveillance technology, and that he had been planning to flee the country with her. The team must work quickly to prevent a national security crisis and bring Valdez and Chevron to justice.

At the same time, Kensi makes a breakthrough in her recovery with the help of a fellow injured veteran, and Sam finds closure in the case involving the young girl. Nell and Eric also work through their emotional issues and decide to take their relationship to the next level.

The episode ends with the team successfully apprehending Valdez and Chevron and recovering the stolen technology. They reflect on the personal challenges they faced during the case, and Hetty reminds them that their work is never truly done. The team leaves the office to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
