Nature Cat season 4 episode 3, titled "The Shell Game/Heron Food Blues," follows the adventures of a curious and adventurous house cat named Fred who transforms into a nature-loving, outdoor explorer when his owners are not home. Together with his friends, including Squeeks the mouse, Daisy the bunny, and Hal the dog, Fred embarks on exciting journeys to explore the world around him and learn about nature.

Together, they work to figure out why the heron is struggling and how they can help. Through observation, investigation, and problem-solving, they learn about the food chain and the delicate balance of nature.
