Ep 17. Patriots

Nash Bridges is an American action television series featuring Don Johnson in the titular role. The third season contains 23 episodes, one of which is "Patriots," which revolves around a bomber who targets a parade celebrating the Fourth of July, and Nash's team's efforts to thwart him.

The episode begins on July 4th, with Nash and Joe arriving at the San Francisco Police Department's annual parade float. Nash rides a patriotically decorated Harley-Davidson while Joe drives a three-wheeled electric scooter. As they parade through the cheering crowds lining the street, they encounter Nash's daughter Cassidy, who is there to cover the parade for the local news affiliate.

Suddenly, a powerful blast shakes the streets, and the parade comes to an abrupt halt as debris flies around. Subsequently, a chain of explosions explodes down the parade road, wreaking havoc and destruction. Nash and Joe leap into action, quickly rushing to the scene to help those who have been hurt by the blast.

As the dust settles, Nash realizes that they have a major issue on their hands and turns to the investigation. He is joined in the investigation by Evan, a Department of Homeland Security agent assigned to San Francisco on his first day of the job, and Samantha, a bomb disposal expert.

As they go about their investigation, they uncover a series of clues that hint at who might be behind the bombing. They discover that the bomb was made from homemade explosives, indicating that the culprit was not an experienced bomb maker. And although the bomber used a cell phone to trigger the device, the phone led them to a disposable use-and-throw type, which makes it challenging to track the owner.

Nash and his team, nevertheless, do not give up and keep on questioning witnesses and collecting evidence. They find a piece of shirt that matches the color of the suspect's clothing. One crucial lead they obtain is from a witness who saw the bomber leave the scene and mentioned that the suspect had a shotgun with him.

Meanwhile, Evan and Nash's daughter Cassidy start getting cozy with each other while working to find information about the bomber. Cassidy utilizes her status as a TV reporter to help Evan with information who is smitten with her.

As they get closer to finding the perpetrator, Nash's team discovers that the bomber intends to target another target in the city. Nursing the fear of another explosion, Nash's team combs the city with an extensive search to locate the bomber before he can execute his plan.

As the team finally tracks down the bomber and closes in, they find themselves in a life-or-death scenario. Nash confronts the bomber, who has a loaded shotgun in his hands and a bomb attached to his chest. With the stakes so high, Nash must rely on his intuition and quick thinking to stop the bomber before he can execute his next plan.

While the team is closing in on the bomber, Evan discovers that the bomber wasn't working alone. He intended to distract law enforcement officials by executing a minor explosion, then detonating a much more massive bomb that would target a high-value target in the city.

With time running out, Nash and his team must utilize their experience and expertise to find the other vest-wearing bomber. However, will the team have the ability, expertise, and sheer willpower required to hunt down and stop the attacker before he can execute his next deadly mission, is the critical question.

"Patriots" is an excellent action-filled episode that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seats throughout its entire runtime. It's one of the best examples of how television can be just as thrilling and exciting as cinema, and it's a must-see for anyone looking for an entertaining and thrilling show.
