The show "Nash Bridges" follows the adventures of San Francisco Police Inspector Nash Bridges, played by Don Johnson, and his team as they solve crimes in the city. In season 2 episode 8, titled "Zodiac," the team is tasked with solving a string of murders that appear to be the work of the infamous Zodiac Killer.

The episode begins with Nash Bridges and his partner, Joe Dominguez (played by Cheech Marin) investigating the scene of a murder. The victim's body has been found with a symbol carved into it, similar to the one famously used by the Zodiac Killer in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Nash and Joe immediately realize the significance of the symbol and fear that a copycat killer may be on the loose.

Their suspicions are confirmed when another murder with the same symbol is reported. This time, the victim is a woman who was out jogging in a park. Nash and Joe interview witnesses and gather evidence, but they struggle to make progress in the case. They soon realize that they need the help of a retired detective who worked on the original Zodiac case.

Nash and Joe track down the retired detective, who is living in seclusion in the mountains. The detective, played by guest star Robert Stack, is reluctant to get involved in the case again. He tells Nash and Joe that the original Zodiac case still haunts him and that he has been living with the guilt of not solving it for decades.

Despite his reservations, the retired detective agrees to help Nash and Joe. He shares his knowledge and insights about the original Zodiac case with them, hoping that it will help them catch the copycat killer. As they work together, Nash and Joe learn about the original suspect in the Zodiac case and try to determine if he could be behind the new murders.

Meanwhile, Nash's ex-wife and current boss, Lisa (played by Wendy Moniz), is dealing with her own challenges. She has been tasked with overseeing a departmentwide budget cut and is struggling to make tough decisions about which programs to cut. Lisa confides in Nash about how difficult the process is for her and how she worries about the impact the cuts will have on the community.

As the investigation continues, Nash and Joe start to put the pieces together. They discover that the copycat killer is not who they originally suspected and that his motivations for the murders are much more personal than they realized. They race against time to catch the killer before he can strike again.

"Zodiac" is a tense and thrilling episode of "Nash Bridges" that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With strong performances from the cast and a gripping storyline, it is a must-see for fans of crime dramas.
