Ep 8. Good-bye Old Friend! I'll Always Believe in You!

As the episode begins, Jiraiya is seen talking to Naruto as they prepare to go on their mission. Naruto is ecstatic to be travelling with his beloved master, but his excitement is short-lived as Jiraiya reveals to him that they will be parting ways in a few days. Naruto is devastated at the thought of losing his sensei and friend, but Jiraiya makes him promise to never give up and always keep fighting for what he believes in.

The two set out on their mission to find Tsunade, the new Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Along the way, they encounter a group of rogue ninjas who try to attack them. Naruto, ever eager to impress his teacher, charges ahead without a second thought. However, he soon realizes that he is outmatched and outnumbered, and it's only through Jiraiya's guidance and wisdom that they are able to defeat the enemy.

Despite their victory, Jiraiya is visibly wounded and Naruto becomes increasingly worried about his condition. As they continue their journey, Jiraiya begins to tell Naruto stories of his own past, and how he, too, had to make difficult choices and sacrifices in order to become the ninja he is today. Naruto listens intently, realizing that his own journey is just beginning and that he will have to face many challenges and make hard decisions.

Eventually, they arrive at the location where Tsunade is supposed to be located. However, they soon discover that Orochimaru, Jiraiya's former student turned enemy, has also arrived with the intention of convincing Tsunade to join him. Jiraiya and Naruto prepare for battle, but Jiraiya insists that Naruto stay behind, fearing for his safety.

As Jiraiya fights Orochimaru, Tsunade reveals that she has no intention of becoming Hokage and is instead planning to leave the village. Jiraiya tries to convince her otherwise, but she is adamant in her decision. Meanwhile, Naruto, unable to sit idly by, decides to rush to Jiraiya's aid and help him in the fight against Orochimaru.

The battle is intense, with Jiraiya and Naruto fighting together against Orochimaru's powerful attacks. However, when the tide seems to be turning in their favor, Orochimaru pulls out a trump card by revealing a secret about Jiraiya's past that causes him to hesitate.

In the end, Tsunade ultimately decides to stay and become Hokage, and Jiraiya and Naruto depart back to the village. As they say their goodbyes, Jiraiya reminds Naruto once again to never give up and always believe in himself, even when things seem difficult. The episode ends on a poignant note as Naruto watches his master walk away, feeling a sense of loss but also determination to continue his journey.
