Ep 5. He Flies! He Jumps! He Lurks! Chief Toad Appears!

In Naruto season 3 episode 5, titled "He Flies! He Jumps! He Lurks! Chief Toad Appears!", we see the continuation of Naruto and Jiraiya's journey to find Tsunade, the legendary sannin who is said to possess incredible strength and medical knowledge. The two have reached a small gambling town where they hope to find Tsunade, but little do they know, they are being watched by an old acquaintance.

As Naruto and Jiraiya make their way through the town, they come across a group of thugs who are causing trouble. Being the hero that he is, Naruto steps in to stop the thugs and defend the innocent people of the town. However, the thugs prove to be more powerful than Naruto had anticipated and he is quickly overpowered. Just when it seems like things couldn't get any worse, a giant toad appears out of nowhere and crushes the thugs, saving Naruto and Jiraiya.

The toad introduces himself as Gamabunta, the chief toad of Mount Myoboku and a loyal ally of Jiraiya. Gamabunta explains that he has been watching Naruto and Jiraiya's journey and decides to help them in their search for Tsunade. Together, they set out deeper into the town and eventually come across a casino where Tsunade is said to frequent.

Inside the casino, they find Tsunade but she is far from what Naruto had expected. Instead of the powerful warrior he had imagined, Tsunade is a heavy drinker and gambler who has lost her way in life. Jiraiya tries to persuade her to come back with them to help protect the village, but Tsunade is not interested.

Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Orochimaru appears in the casino and challenges Tsunade to a bet. If she wins the bet, he will give her back the necklace that once belonged to her loved one, Dan, who had passed away. However, if she loses the bet, Orochimaru will take all of her memories and she will be at his mercy.

Tsunade accepts the bet and decides to gamble her life away. Naruto tries to intervene and stop Tsunade from making such a reckless decision, but she refuses to listen to him. The two eventually come up with a game where Tsunade has to correctly guess which hand a coin is in, but Orochimaru uses his sneaky tactics to try and cheat and make her lose.

In the end, Tsunade wins the bet and Orochimaru gives her the necklace back. However, this victory is short-lived as Orochimaru reveals his true intentions and attacks Tsunade. Naruto and Jiraiya jump in to try and protect her, but Orochimaru's power is too great and they are quickly overpowered.

Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Tsunade steps in and decides to fight Orochimaru herself. She reveals that she is the granddaughter of the first Hokage and inherited his incredible strength. With Tsunade's help, Naruto and Jiraiya are able to defeat Orochimaru and save the town from his evil ways.

As the episode comes to a close, Tsunade agrees to return to the village and become the new Hokage, much to Naruto's delight. The group sets out on their journey back to the village, with Tsunade leading the way as the new leader.
