At the start of Naruto Shippuden season 9 episode 484, titled "The Exploding Human," the team is still working on getting to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Kaguya's resurrection. Following a brief recap of the events from the previous episode, we see Naruto and Sakura begin their search for Sasuke. Meanwhile, the rest of the group is still trying to figure out what Kaguya is capable of and how they can stop her before she destroys everything.
As the team comes up with a plan for dealing with Kaguya, they learn about a small group of rogue ninjas who have started causing problems in the Land of Fire. The group's leader, a man named Gengo, has the ability to manipulate people's thoughts and turn them into loyal followers. The group has been using this power to take control of various towns and villages in the land and is becoming an increasingly significant threat.
As the group sets out to find Gengo, they come across a man who has been turned into one of Gengo's followers. They learn that Gengo is a master of sound-based jutsus and that he has been using his skills to brainwash people into joining his army. The man directs them to the hidden location of Gengo's headquarters.
Once they arrive at the headquarters, they find themselves in a massive underground complex. In the central room, they find Gengo and discover that he has been working with the Akatsuki to try and resurrect Kaguya. The group is shocked to learn that Kaguya's resurrection was not a natural occurrence, but the result of a carefully orchestrated plot.
As the team confronts Gengo, they realize that he is far too powerful for them to handle on their own. They come up with a plan to use their combined jutsus to create a massive sound wave and knock Gengo unconscious. The plan works, but their victory is short-lived.
As they begin to make their way out of the complex, they are suddenly confronted by a massive explosion. The team is thrown back by the force of the blast, and they quickly realize that someone has activated a self-destruct mechanism inside the headquarters. With time running out, the group has to find a way out before the entire complex is reduced to rubble.
In the end, Naruto and the others are able to escape just in time. They watch as the headquarters explodes in a massive fireball, taking Gengo and all of his followers with it. Though they were able to stop Gengo's plan to resurrect Kaguya, they know that they still have a long way to go before they can defeat the ancient goddess once and for all.
