As Naruto Shippuden season 3's episode 131 opens, the Jonin of the Hidden Leaf Village have a meeting to discuss plans for the upcoming war. Tsunade, the village's Hokage, tells the Jonin that Narutos training in the Land of Toads is proceeding well. Tsunade decides that she will go to the front lines of the war with Raikage, the leader of the Hidden Cloud Village, while Shikaku, an advisor to the Hokage, will stay back and help with the logistics of the war effort.

As the meeting ends, Naruto walks in, tired and wounded from his training with Fukasaku and Shima, the two toads that trained Jiraiya. Naruto's training involves combining his Sage Mode with the Nine-Tailed Fox's chakra, but it's a tough process that has left him with scars all over his body.

Naruto is eager to fight in the war despite his injuries, but Tsunade orders him to stay behind and continue his training. Naruto is upset, but he finally agrees to follow Tsunade's orders. However, he is still determined to get stronger and help in the war.

Meanwhile, in the Hidden Rain Village, the mysterious Pain, known as the leader of the Akatsuki, is making a plan to capture the jinchuriki, holders of the powerful tailed beasts. Pain decides to start with capturing Naruto, who is the host of the Nine-Tailed Fox.

Back at Mount Myoboku, Naruto continues his training with Fukasaku and Shima. They show him how to infuse his Rasengan with Sage chakra, creating a powerful attack called the Frog Kumite. Naruto struggles to perform the technique at first, but with practice, he starts to master it.

During his training, Naruto experiences a vision of Jiraiya, his former master who was killed by Pain. Jiraiya encourages Naruto to keep on fighting and to use what he's learned to bring peace to the world.

With newfound determination, Naruto finally masters the Frog Kumite and unlocks a new level of Sage Mode, called Honored Sage Mode. His new form gives him enhanced strength, speed, and chakra control, allowing him to perform even more powerful techniques.

As Naruto celebrates his achievement, Pain and his Deva Path attack Mount Myoboku in search of the toads that trained Jiraiya. Naruto, Fukasaku, and Shima quickly engage in battle. Naruto uses his new abilities to take down Pain's Deva Path and even lands a powerful attack on Pain himself.

However, Pain is still a formidable opponent and manages to defeat Naruto, leaving him unable to move. As Pain prepares to capture Naruto, the other toads come to his aid and drive Pain away.

The episode ends with Naruto receiving medical treatment for his injuries. Tsunade visits him and congratulates him on his new power. She tells him that he is now one of the strongest shinobi in the Hidden Leaf Village and is ready to fight in the war.

Honored Sage Mode! is an exciting episode that showcases Naruto's continuous growth and determination to become stronger. With the introduction of a new Sage Mode, Naruto is now even more powerful and ready to face any foe that comes his way. However, with Pain and the Akatsuki on the prowl, Naruto must remain vigilant and be ready for anything. As the war approaches, the stakes get higher, and the battles get more intense, making for an engaging and action-packed season of Naruto Shippuden.
