In Mythbusters season 6 episode 5, titled "Viewers Special 2!", the hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman once again tackle myths and viewer requests sent to them. This time around, they focus on deconstructing seven different myths spanning a wide range of topics.

The episode begins with the duo testing if a person can be propelled backwards by a bullet fired into the water behind them. They set up a water tank and bring in a trained marksman to fire bullets into the water from behind a test dummy they have submerged. They then have another dummy, representing a person, standing in front of the tank to see if it will indeed be pushed backward if someone were standing in the spot. The hosts use high-speed cameras to capture the action, and the results are surprising.

Next up, Adam and Jamie attempt to recreate a daring stunt from a popular action movie. They look to see if a person can use a burning fuse to set off a chain of gas explosions that will propel them safely forwards. They build a set complete with a gas line, and Adam suits up to try out this dangerous experiment. The tension is high, and the hosts are more than a little nervous as they set everything up.

The third myth the hosts tackle during "Viewers Special 2!" is whether a car can be lifted with a small jet engine. They start by securing the car and setting up the jet engine, which is capable of producing enough power to lift several passengers at once. Adam and Jamie then test the car's ability to be lifted by moving the jet engine closer and closer to the car while measuring the lift it produces. The results are surprising, and the hosts conclude whether or not this myth is busted.

The fourth myth bust takes the duo to the snow-covered terrain of Colorado, where they attempt to test whether a person can actually ski off a cliff and fly through the air for a significant distance before landing safely on their feet. They set up ramps and measures to simulate the feat, while also bringing in Olympic skier Daron Rahlves to assist them. The dangers of this myth are palpable, and the episode truly showcases how dedicated the Mythbusters are to their craft.

In the fifth segment of the episode, Adam and Jamie test whether a person can use a spinning fan to safely glide down from a high altitude. They construct a rigging system and attempt to glide down from a considerable height by using the spinning fan as a propeller. Will this myth be busted, confirmed, or something in between?

The sixth myth the hosts tackle during "Viewers Special 2!" is a bit more lighthearted and one that many have probably thought about before. They test whether a person can really use a frying pan to deflect bullets. They set up a range and bring in two sets of frying pans, regular and cast iron, to see if either can actually stop a bullet. This segment is full of surprises and is sure to entertain viewers.

Finally, the Mythbusters delve into a sci-fi myth that explores whether a person can survive in a space vacuum without protection. They construct a vacuum chamber and use various objects and materials to simulate how the body would react to the lack of air pressure. This segment is highly interesting and provides a lot of scientific information about how the human body functions in extreme conditions.

"Viewers Special 2!" is an exciting ride into the world of science and myth-busting that only the Mythbusters can provide. It showcases the hosts' dedication to their craft and how they are not afraid to take on some of the most daring experiments in the name of science.
