Ep 2. The Ozark Howler

The show Mysterious Creatures with Forrest Galante takes viewers on a journey where they discover the secrets of some of the world's most elusive creatures. In season 1 episode 2, titled The Ozark Howler, Forrest Galante travels to the Ozarks in search of an elusive creature.

The Ozark Howler is a mythic creature that has never been seen by humans. It is a large, black, and horned animal that has been said to roam the mountains of the Ozarks. The creature is reported to have glowing red eyes and emits a terrifying scream that has been described as a mix between a wolf's howl and an elk's bugle.

Forrest's journey begins by interviewing locals who have had sightings or experiences with the Ozark Howler. Despite the varied descriptions of the creature, there is a consensus about the Ozark Howler being a fearsome and elusive creature that only a select few have ever encountered.

By diving deep into the stories and accounts of those who have claimed to encounter the Ozark Howler, Forrest starts piecing together a possible picture of this elusive creature. He gets insights from the locals, hunters and even an EMT who had an experience with the creature.

One of the hunters, who goes by the name of "Bubba," recounts the story of a time he spotted the Ozark Howler. He had been sitting in a deer stand when he saw the creature walk out onto a clearing. Bubba describes the creature as around 7 feet tall with a muscular build, black fur, and large horns on its head. He is convinced that the creature was not a bear or a mountain lion, but something entirely different and terrifying.

Forrest also meets with an EMT who was called to an accident scene in the Ozarks. The EMT describes hearing the terrifying scream of the Ozark Howler which was followed by unexplained accidents and misadventures that followed afterward. The EMT is still reeling from the experience and is convinced that the scream was unlike anything he had ever heard.

Armed with the eyewitness accounts and stories passed down through generations, Forrest sets out into the Ozark mountains in hopes of encountering the Ozark Howler himself. With the help of a local guide, he begins his trek into the heart of the Ozarks. Along the way, he sets up cameras and recording equipment in hopes of capturing any evidence of the elusive creature.

As he delves deeper into the mountains, the terrain becomes more treacherous and forested, making it difficult for Forrest and his team to navigate. Time is running out, as they have less than a day to find the creature before they are forced to leave. Any little sound is a point of interest, and the team sometimes have to pause and reflect on possible encounters that the creature has had.
