In the early 1900s, Mameda wants to play tricks on humans like her tanuki ancestors did in the days of yore. Unfortunately, supernatural hijinks are no longer a thing. When she meets Bunko, who uses the Japanese storytelling art of rakugo to beguile her audience, Mameda is determined to use rakugo to cast a spell on humanity. But she needs to convince Bunko to give her an apprenticeship first.
