In this episode of My Lottery Dream Home, season 12 episode 11 titled Bangor Bucks, we follow the story of a lucky lottery winner named Katie. Katie was a nurse working at a hospital in Bangor, Maine when she bought a scratch-off ticket and won a whopping $250,000. Katie had always dreamed of owning her own home, and with her newfound wealth, she was finally able to make that dream come true.
Katie's budget for her new home was $300,000, so she was looking for a house that was move-in ready and had all the amenities she wanted. Some of her priorities included a large kitchen, a separate space for her teenage son, and a big backyard where she could entertain guests and maybe even get a pool. Katie also wanted to be close to her job, which meant she was primarily looking for houses in the Bangor area.
To help her find the perfect home, Katie enlisted the help of David Bromstad, the host of My Lottery Dream Home. David took Katie on a tour of several homes in and around Bangor, showing her the best that the area had to offer. The first house they looked at was a charming Cape Cod-style home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house was located in a quiet neighborhood and had a spacious backyard. While the house had some of the features that Katie was looking for, it was missing a few key items on her wishlist, like a big kitchen and a separate space for her son.
Next, David and Katie visited a beautiful split-level home that was also in a quiet neighborhood. The house had four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a master suite with a private balcony. The backyard was large and had plenty of space for entertaining, and the kitchen was big enough to fit all of Katie's cooking supplies. However, the house was located a bit farther from Katie's job than she would have liked.
The third house they visited was a stunning, newly built home that had everything on Katie's wishlist and more. The house had four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a separate space for her son to relax and hang out with his friends. The kitchen was spacious and modern, with high-end appliances and plenty of storage. The backyard was huge and had a covered patio area where Katie could host barbecues and pool parties. In addition, the house was located just a few minutes away from her job, making her daily commute a breeze.
After seeing the three houses, Katie was torn between the Cape Cod-style home and the newly built home. While she loved the charm and character of the Cape Cod-style home, she ultimately decided that the newly built home was the perfect fit for her and her family. With David's help, Katie was able to negotiate a great price for the home and moved in soon after.
The episode concluded with a montage of Katie settling into her new home and hosting her first pool party. David stopped by to see how she was doing and was pleased to see that she was happy and enjoying her new life. Katie thanked David for his help and said that she couldn't have done it without him.
Overall, Bangor Bucks was a heartwarming episode of My Lottery Dream Home that showcased the joy of finally being able to buy the home of your dreams. Katie's excitement and enthusiasm were contagious, and viewers couldn't help but be happy for her as she found the perfect new home with David's help.
