My Friend Rabbit season 1 episode 17, titled "Hazel's Noise; Don't Touch Mossy," tells the story of Rabbit and his best friend Mouse as they encounter two distinct problems on a sunny day.
The episode begins with Rabbit's friend, Hazel, playing her tuba loudly near her burrow. Rabbit and Mouse enjoy the music, but soon realize that her noise-making is disrupting other forest animals, who are trying to feed their young ones. When Rabbit and Mouse approach Hazel and suggest she move her tuba playing to another location, she becomes upset and storms off, still playing her tuba loudly.
Rabbit and Mouse try to comfort Hazel's neighbors but soon realize that the only way to resolve the problem is by talking to Hazel. They find her blasting her tuba on a meadow and try to coax her down. They explain that her loud music is bothering others and causing them difficulties with their young ones.
As she begins to realize the impact of her music on others, Hazel becomes very sad and feels guilty. Rabbit and Mouse try to help her feel better by telling her how much they still love her and her music, but suggest that she could play in quieter, less populated areas. Eventually, Hazel agrees to move her music practice to a different place and the animals in the forest join in her music celebrations without any disturbance.
Following this, Rabbit and Mouse plan a picnic near a pond and run into their friend Moose. However, Moose, in his excitement to greet Mouse, ends up squashing Mouse's brand-new hat. Rabbit and Moos try to fix the hat, but to no avail. The friends decide to get another hat, but Moose stumbles upon some mossy rocks and exclaims excitedly, warning Rabbit and Mouse not to touch it.
As Rabbit and Mouse look at the rocks from a distance, they find out that the rocks are quite beautiful and decide to take a closer look. Despite Moose's warning, they touch the mossy rocks and soon realize that their hands are stuck. Rabbit and Mouse try everything to free themselves, but to no avail.
That's when Hazel arrives with her tuba and tries to help. She soon discovers that music - her love - could help people in ways she never imagined. Hazel starts playing her tuba, and the calming music begins to soothe Rabbit and Mouse's hands, making them free.
After the ordeal has come to an end, Hazel shared with her friends that she realized that her music has an important impact on everyone, and that she needs to be more mindful of her surroundings in the future.
Overall, My Friend Rabbit season 1 episode 17 is a charming and insightful episode that introduces valuable lessons about the importance of communication, the power of music, and the impact of our actions on those around us.
