The second episode of My First First Love season 2 begins with Tae-o's (Ji Soo) father arriving in their house. Tae-o's father is amazed to see that his son has been living with a lot of people in his house. After a bit of conversation, he realizes that Do-hyeon (Jung Chae-yeon) has come with Tae-o and thinks that they have a romantic relationship.

Tae-o clarifies that Do-hyeon is not his girlfriend, which makes his father curious about his past. Tae-o tells them all about his childhood, his mother's death, and his stay with Song-i's (Jung Jin-young) family. He also reveals how Song-i rejected his love proposal, and so he decided to date Do-hyeon to forget about Song-i.

However, his father thinks that he is making a lot of mistakes and Advices him to be cautious about his decisions. Tae-o's father tells him to be careful about his relationships and prioritize his future goals as relationships may distract him from achieving his goals. Tae-o seems bewildered but tries to ponder over his father's words.

Meanwhile, Song-i joins her college and finds that she has a new neighbor. The neighbor's name is Jin-woo (Kang Tae-o). They bump into each other and have a small conversation. Jin-woo seems to be impressed by Song-i's kindness and personality. Song-i finds it hard to ignore his kindness and starts to like him.

Song-i thinks that she has moved on from Tae-o, but the thought of him lingers in her head. Song-i meets her best friend, Hoon (Choi Ri), who confides about her feelings for her. Hoon tells Song-i that she likes her as more than just a friend and confesses her feelings to Song-i. Song-i gets speechless and doesn't know how to react. The confession makes things complicated between them.

Elsewhere, Do-hyeon gets into a fight with another girl in their college. Tae-o gets protective of her and tries to solve the issue. Do-hyeon, on the other hand, is worried about her past events, and Tae-o promises her that he will be with her no matter what. Tae-o tries to be a good boyfriend and support Do-hyeon unconditionally.

The episode ends with Tae-o realizing the importance of his father's advice. Tae-o fathoms his priorities and thinks about his future goals. Tae-o understands that relationships may not be his priority, and so he thinks about focusing on his career.
