In the sixth episode of the sixth season of the British television sitcom, My Family, titled "And Other Animals," the Harper family takes a trip to the zoo. However, the day doesn't exactly go as planned.
As soon as they arrive, Ben (played by Robert Lindsay) immediately begins to clash with a group of animal rights protestors who are demonstrating at the zoo's entrance. However, their plans are quickly derailed when Janey accidentally drops her phone into the monkey enclosure.
Desperate to retrieve the phone before it's destroyed, Janey climbs over the fence and into the enclosure, with Roger following close behind. However, their rescue mission quickly turns into a disaster when they realize they are surrounded by a group of aggressive monkeys who aren't exactly thrilled about having visitors in their space.
Meanwhile, Ben and Susan make their way to the penguin exhibit, where they come across a penguin with a broken leg. They take it upon themselves to try and help the injured animal, but their efforts to do so only lead to chaos and hilarity.
The episode culminates in a series of mishaps and near-misses, with the Harper family eventually reuniting at a café outside the zoo to compare their respective adventures. Despite the chaos of the day, they all agree that it was a memorable and fun-filled experience.
Overall, "And Other Animals" is a classic episode of My Family, full of the show's trademark humor and mishaps. It's a lighthearted, enjoyable episode that will leave viewers laughing from start to finish.
