My Family season 4 episode 14 "Sixty Feet Under" revolves around the disastrous funeral arrangements for Auntie Dorothy after her untimely demise. Ben, the patriarch of the Harpers, is tasked with organising the funeral, which turns out to be an uphill task as he is not quite sure where to go or how to go about it. Things take a hilarious turn when they discover that Auntie Dorothy's grave is already occupied by a certain Mr. Gribsby.

As the family tries to come to terms with this latest development, Susan, Ben's wife, is vehemently against the cremation option and insists that the funeral should proceed as planned. In her opinion, Auntie Dorothy, or rather her ashes, should be placed in the family vault where she can rest in peace alongside other relatives.

Whilst all this is going on, the family's nosy neighbours, the Dillons, keep insisting on being involved in the funeral arrangements, much to the chagrin of the Harpers. Consequently, Ben tries to keep them at bay by assigning them the task of purchasing the flowers for the funeral.

The comedy in this episode lies in the different characters' reactions to the situation at hand. Susan, for example, is struggling to come to grips with her aunt's death, and refuses to consider a cremation, insisting that Auntie Dorothy should not be "cooked like a chicken." Janey, their daughter, takes it upon herself to investigate the situation and the circumstances surrounding the gravesite blunder, while Nick, their son, is more interested in the logistics of the funeral, such as how long the wake will last.

Meanwhile, Michael, the family's eldest son, is trying to juggle his new job and wedding plans and has limited time to contribute to the funeral. He is also trying to keep his future father-in-law, an overzealous wedding planner, at bay.

As if all this is not enough, Ben finds out that his late Auntie Dorothy has left him a boatload of money in her will. However, he is reluctant to tell the rest of the family about this inheritance as he knows it will lead to all manner of chaos.

Overall, the episode "Sixty Feet Under" is a mixture of sadness, hilarity, and confusion, as the Harper family tries to give Auntie Dorothy a proper send-off. The episode serves as a reminder of how death can bring out the best (and worst) in people, especially when combined with complicated family dynamics and rival neighbours.
