It seems that Alexa has lost her passion for performing and wants to retire, but Carver is not supportive of this decision.
The following morning, Jessica wakes up to the news that Carver has been found dead in his hotel room. Although it appears to be a suicide, Jessica is suspicious and begins to investigate, uncovering clues and motives that suggest that Carver may have been murdered.
As Jessica delves further into the case, she learns that there were many people who had a reason to want Carver dead, including several individuals who had been wronged by his shady business dealings. Along the way, she also discovers that Alexa herself has a tragic past, which may be linked to the murder.
With the help of Seth and the local police, Jessica works tirelessly to uncover the truth behind Carver's death. As she interviews suspects and pieces together the evidence, she begins to realize that there is more to this case than meets the eye.
