Jessica Fletcher is back, and this time she's solving a murder mystery in the world of ice-skating. In season 3 episode 8 titled "Magnum On Ice," Jessica Fletcher, played by the legendary Angela Lansbury, once again proves that she's one of the best detectives out there.

The episode begins with Jessica attending a figure skating competition in New York. She's there to support her friend Claire, who's one of the top skaters in the world. But just as the competition is about to begin, disaster strikes. Cynthia Bainbridge, one of the judges, collapses and dies on the ice. The cause of death is initially thought to be a heart attack, but Jessica isn't convinced. She thinks that there's something more sinister going on.

As Jessica starts to investigate, she begins to uncover a tangled web of intrigue and deception. It turns out that Cynthia was mixed up in some shady dealings involving a powerful sports agent named Howard Graves. Graves has been using his connections to fix the skating competitions and make a fortune in the process. And Cynthia was one of his key accomplices.

But things get even more complicated when Claire, Jessica's friend, becomes the prime suspect in the murder. It seems that Claire had a motive for killing Cynthia – she suspected that Cynthia was trying to ruin her career by giving her low scores in the competition. But Jessica isn't convinced. She thinks that Claire has been framed, and she sets out to prove her friend's innocence.

As she delves deeper into the case, Jessica uncovers a host of suspects, each with their own secrets to hide. There's Howard Graves, the ruthless agent who will stop at nothing to protect his empire. There's also Cynthia's ex-husband, a bitter man who blames her for ruining his life. And there's Eddie, Cynthia's unstable partner, who may have been driven to murder by jealousy and rage.

But Jessica isn't daunted by the challenge. She uses her sharp intellect and finely-tuned instincts to unravel the mystery and find the real killer. Along the way, she faces danger and deception at every turn. She also has to navigate a complicated love triangle, as two of the suspects vying for her attention.

In the end, Jessica proves that justice will always prevail, even in the cutthroat world of figure skating. She exposes the killer and clears her friend's name, all the while maintaining her signature calm and collected demeanor. And as the episode comes to a close, the audience is left once again marveling at her brilliance and charisma.

"Magnum On Ice" is a suspenseful and engaging episode of Murder, She Wrote. It showcases the show's trademark blend of mystery, drama, and humor, and features some standout performances from the cast. Angela Lansbury once again shines as Jessica, the intrepid and brilliant detective who always gets her man (or woman). And the supporting actors, including a young Carrie Fisher, bring their A-game to the table, creating a compelling and memorable story that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
