Jessica Fletcher, a successful mystery novelist, is back to solve another crime in the small town of Cabot Cove. In season 3 episode 14 of Murder, She Wrote titled "Murder in a Minor Key," Jessica finds herself knee-deep in another murder case.
The episode begins with Jessica attending a concert by her friend and local musician Patti Sue Diamond. However, the concert comes to an abrupt end when Patti is found dead in her dressing room from an apparent suicide. Convinced that her friend would never take her own life, Jessica begins to investigate and discovers that Patti had a lot of secrets.
As Jessica digs deeper, she finds out that Patti's boyfriend, Harry McGraw, had been fired from his job at the local bank and had a motive for the murder. The tension rises when Harry is arrested and put on trial for Patti's murder.

The plot thickens when Jessica discovers that Patti had recorded a hit song, "Lies and Alibis," that had been published under Danny's name. With this newfound information, Jessica begins to piece together the events leading up to Patti's death.
As the trial progresses, Jessica uncovers more evidence and exposes the killer in a shocking conclusion that will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
