In the season 3 premiere of Murder, She Wrote titled "Death Stalks the Big Top (1)," Jessica Fletcher finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation at a traveling circus. After receiving an invitation from her old friend Harry McGraw to attend the circus, Jessica is shocked to witness a performer fall to his death from the high wire.
As the police investigate the incident as an accident, Jessica begins to suspect foul play when she realizes that a crucial wire was intentionally cut. She starts to dig deeper into the lives of the circus performers and uncovers a web of secrets and betrayals.
