In this episode of Mulaney, the gang is back with another laugh-out-loud social commentary on life's funny moments. This time around, they're tackling one of life's great mysteries – the French. John's French girlfriend, Sabrina, comes to stay with him in New York City, and it doesn't take long for her to start driving him crazy.

John struggles to understand the French culture, and the things that Sabrina finds attractive about it. The episode brilliantly pokes fun at all the stereotypes about the French – their love of wine and cheese, their disdain for American culture, and their obsession with all things Parisian.

As John tries to make sense of it all, he's also dealing with his own insecurities about being in a relationship. He's never been in anything serious before, and he's not sure if he's ready to take the next step. We see him grappling with these issues, all while trying to maintain his sense of humor.

The standout character in this episode is Andre, John's friend and neighbor. Andre is a classic New Yorker, complete with a thick accent and a no-nonsense attitude. He's always there to offer his opinion on John's predicaments, and his commentary is consistently hilarious.

Overall, French Roast is an excellent episode of Mulaney. It's one that will make you laugh out loud, and also make you think about the complexities of relationships and cultural differences. The writing is smart and witty, and the acting is top-notch. This is one you won't want to miss.
