The episode begins with Mr. Bean waking up late for his visit to the museum. He rushes to get ready, but he is interrupted by his landlady, Mrs. Wicket, who demands that he pay his rent. After a comical struggle to find the money, Mr. Bean sets off for the museum.
Once at the museum, Mr. Bean is immediately drawn to a beautiful painting of a vase. He becomes fascinated with the vase and begins to imagine what it would be like to own it. He decides that he must have it, even if it means going to great lengths to acquire it.
