Mr. Bean: The Animated Series season 3 episode 17 titled Scrapper Cleans Up follows the titular character as he tries to get his old bike running again. However, he soon realizes that his trusty bike has been taken apart by the neighborhood scrappers for parts, leaving him without transportation. In an effort to retrieve the missing pieces, Bean embarks on a scavenger hunt which involves him sneaking into the scrapyard and outwitting the scrappers.
At the scrapyard, Bean encounters the scrappers who have now taken on the personalities of pirates, complete with eye patches, hats, and hooks for hands. Mr. Bean, however, is undeterred and sets about looking for his bike parts. He comes across a pile of junk and decides to sift through it, hoping to find his bike's scattered pieces. The task is not as easy as he thought, and he gets lost in the piles of metal and discarded items.
As Bean navigates through the scrapyard, he discovers several items that pique his interest, such as a rusted old radio that he tries to fix. His fascination with the various scraps distracts him from his main mission, and he ends up losing his way. In the process, Bean gets covered in soot and dirt, making him virtually unrecognizable. The scrappers, who are always on the lookout for outsiders, miss him as he blends in with his surroundings.
Bean then comes across an old bicycle frame similar to his own, which he believes is his missing bike. He sets about searching for the bike's wheels and pedals but is caught by the scrappers in the process. The scrappers chase him through the scrapyard, but Bean evades them by hiding in various piles of debris and even in an old refrigerator.
Meanwhile, Bean's friend, Irma, notices that he has disappeared and starts searching for him. She eventually stumbles upon the scrapyard and, upon seeing the scrappers, calls the police. The police arrive in a helicopter and apprehend the scrappers, saving Bean and retrieving his missing bike parts in the process.
In the end, Bean is reunited with his trusty bike, but it is now in a different format as he has had to improvise with the spare parts he found in the scrapyard. Despite the changes, Bean is ecstatic and rides off happily into the sunset.
Overall, Scrapper Cleans Up is a hilarious episode that highlights Mr. Bean's resourcefulness in the most unusual situations.
