In season 1 episode 48, entitled "Toothache," Mr. Bean wakes up to find that he has a terrible toothache. He pokes around his mouth looking for the offending tooth, but he can't quite figure out which one is causing the pain. To make matters worse, he has a dentist appointment that he can't miss.
Mr. Bean does everything he can to avoid going to the dentist, but eventually, he realizes that he can't put it off any longer. He heads to the dentist's office, where he is immediately greeted by the sounds of drills and other scary dental equipment. Mr. Bean is terrified, and as he waits in the dentist's chair, he imagines all sorts of horrible things happening to him.
When the dentist finally arrives, Mr. Bean is relieved to see that he is a friendly, kind-hearted man. The dentist takes a look at Mr. Bean's teeth and discovers that he has a cavity. He tells Mr. Bean that he will need to fill the cavity, but Mr. Bean is too scared to go through with it. He tries to leave the dentist's office, but the dentist convinces him to stay by showing him a funny video on his phone.
As the dentist begins to work on Mr. Bean's tooth, Mr. Bean becomes very squirmy. He can't stay still, and he keeps trying to get out of the chair. The dentist tries to keep him calm by distracting him with toys and other things, but nothing seems to work. Finally, the dentist has an idea. He asks Mr. Bean to help him by holding a small mirror so that he can see Mr. Bean's tooth better.
Mr. Bean immediately becomes very interested in the mirror and forgets about his fear of the dentist. He happily holds the mirror and watches as the dentist works on his tooth. In the end, the cavity is filled, and Mr. Bean is relieved that the whole thing is over.
After the dentist appointment, Mr. Bean heads to a candy store, where he buys a huge amount of sweets to celebrate. He is so excited about his candy that he doesn't even realize that he has lost a tooth in the process.
