Mr. Bean: The Animated Series season 1 episode 20, named "Young Bean," follows the misadventures of Mr. Bean as he tries to relive his childhood memories. The episode opens with Mr. Bean browsing through his old photo album, reminiscing about his childhood years. He is saddened by the fact that he can never go back to being a child again, and decides to do the next best thing - create a "young Bean" persona, by dressing up and acting like a child.

Mr. Bean's first stop is the park, where he joins a group of children playing football. Despite being much larger than all the other kids, Mr. Bean is determined to fit in and show off his football skills. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when the ball gets stuck in a tree. Mr. Bean launches himself at the tree, ultimately knocking it down and causing chaos in the park. Despite his best efforts to impress the kids, Mr. Bean is left feeling embarrassed and out of place.

Determined not to give up, Mr. Bean decides to try his hand at flying a kite. He heads to the countryside, where he sets up his kite and begins to fly it with great enthusiasm. However, things take a turn for the worse when the kite gets caught in a tree. Mr. Bean tries to retrieve it but ends up getting his kite stuck in the tree too. As he climbs up to retrieve it, he discovers a bird's nest with two eggs in it. Not wanting to leave them stranded in the tree, Mr. Bean decides to create a makeshift slide to get the eggs to safety. His plan works, but not before causing even more chaos and destruction.

Next, Mr. Bean decides to visit the library, hoping to read some of his favorite childhood books. Once there, he is confronted by the strict librarian who insists on complete silence at all times. Mr. Bean tries his best to keep quiet, but his excitement gets the best of him. He accidentally knocks over a stack of books, causing a domino effect that sends books flying everywhere. Panicking, Mr. Bean tries to put the books back in order, ultimately creating an even bigger mess than before.

Feeling discouraged and frustrated, Mr. Bean decides to call it a day and head back home. As he walks through the streets, he sees a group of kids playing jump rope. Remembering how much he loved jump rope as a child, Mr. Bean decides to join in. However, his attempts to jump rope end up causing a traffic jam and a group of angry drivers. Mr. Bean feels embarrassed and defeated once again.

Back at home, Mr. Bean reflects on his day and realizes that he was never going to relive his childhood memories by acting like a child. He decides to embrace his adult self and start creating new memories. The episode ends with Mr. Bean taking a photo of himself, smiling and expressing his new found hope.

Overall, "Young Bean" is a fun-filled episode that captures the essence of Mr. Bean's childlike curiosity and enthusiasm. It is a reminder that sometimes our attempts to relive the past may end up causing more harm than good. The episode portrays a heartwarming message about embracing our present and creating new memories instead of living in the past.
