Ep 15. Whaley House
- July 12, 2005
In the fifteenth episode of season six of Most Haunted, the team headed to San Diego to investigate the infamous Whaley House, which is widely considered to be one of the most haunted locations in America. The house was built by Thomas Whaley in 1857 and has a dark history filled with tragic events, including the hanging of Yankee Jim in the backyard and the suicide of one of the Whaley daughters.
The investigation started with a walkthrough of the house by Yvette Fielding and the team, where they took in the history of the property and shared their initial impressions. They were joined by psychic medium, David Wells, who picked up on a strong connection to the previous occupants of the house as well as some negative energy in certain areas.
As the investigation began, the team set up their usual array of equipment, including night-vision cameras, EVP recorders, and temperature sensors. They started in the dining room, where they hoped to communicate with the spirit of Thomas Whaley himself. The team quickly picked up on a lot of activity in this room, including a loud noise that sounded like it came from the floorboards and a sudden drop in temperature that was felt by everyone in the room.
Moving on to the upstairs areas of the house, the team explored different rooms, including the bedrooms and the infamous nursery, where the Whaley baby tragically passed away. They also visited the courtroom on the second floor, which was once used for public trials and is said to be one of the most active areas of the house. The investigators picked up on plenty of EVP evidence in this room, including the sound of a child's voice.
The investigation reached its climax in the backyard, where Yankee Jim was hanged for stealing a boat. The team also picked up on the presence of a young girl, who was said to be one of the Whaley children. As they sat in silence, they heard the sound of a rope being dragged across the concrete and experienced a sudden drop in temperature. David Wells was also sensitive to the presence of a malevolent spirit in the area, which made everyone feel uneasy.
Throughout the investigation, the team experienced various paranormal phenomena, including unexplained noises, sudden temperature changes, and EVP recordings. The Whaley House definitely lived up to its reputation as one of the most haunted locations in America, and the Most Haunted team did an excellent job of capturing the evidence and sharing their experiences.
Overall, this was an excellent episode of Most Haunted, and fans of the show (and of the paranormal in general) will not want to miss it. The Whaley House is a fascinating location with a tragic history, and there is no doubt that it is haunted by a variety of spirits. The Most Haunted team did an excellent job of investigating the property and capturing the evidence, making this a must-watch episode for any paranormal enthusiast.
