In season three, episode five of "Most Haunted," the paranormal investigative team lead by Yvette Fielding head to Aberglasney House in Wales for a night of ghost-hunting. The house and gardens date back to the 15th century, and have a long and storied history.
As they begin their investigation, the team splits up to explore different areas of the house. Yvette and her camera crew head to the upper floors, where they hear unexplained noises and see strange shadows moving in the hallway. There's a particularly eerie moment when Yvette is standing in a bedroom, talking to the camera, and the door behind her suddenly slams shut on its own.
Meanwhile, another group of investigators is exploring the downstairs living areas. They report feeling very uneasy, as if they're being watched by something unseen. There are also multiple instances of objects moving or being knocked over without explanation. One investigator even claims to have seen a full-bodied apparition of a woman in a white dress, who quickly vanished before his eyes.
The team also spends time in the gardens, which are said to have numerous ghostly sightings. They visit a ruined chapel and a yew tree that's said to be cursed. While there, they experience strange temperature changes and hear voices whispering in their ears.
As the night wears on, tensions are high and everyone is on edge. There are moments of levity, such as when a member of the team uses a Ouija board to try to contact the spirit of a former resident. But for the most part, the atmosphere is eerie and unsettling.
Throughout the episode, Yvette and the team employ a range of ghost-hunting tools, including EMF meters, spirit boxes, and thermal cameras. They capture numerous EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), which are unexplained voices or sounds picked up on their recording equipment. Some of these EVPs are downright chilling, such as a child's voice saying "help me" and a deep male voice growling "get out."
One of the most unnerving moments of the episode comes when Yvette and her cameraman are exploring the attic. They come across an old trunk that's said to be haunted. Yvette attempts to open it, but it's stuck shut. This is when they hear a loud banging noise, as if something is trying to break out of the trunk from the inside. Needless to say, they quickly make their exit from the attic.
Overall, the team's investigation of Aberglasney House is packed with creepy moments and unexplained phenomena. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it's hard not to be spooked by some of the things they capture on tape.
